I was at Andropogon’s presentation at ASLA in Philadelphia, and I certainly was reminded of the Sidwell Friends constructed wetland when the news came out that the Obama kids would be going there for school. nice to think this project might influence our leaders on the subject of green infrastructure…
In a way, Sidwell Friends and the White House vegetable garden are two halves of the same whole, demonstrating that “working” landscapes can be more beautiful (on several levels) than “ornamental” ones.
